Service Description

Get comprehensive driving assessments tailored for drivers with physical disabilities, Special Educational Needs or Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Our expert assessor, Michael, has completed the Oxford Brookes Diploma in Driving Assessment and Outdoor Mobility. And is currently the only person living in London with this qualification. He has assessed clients aged from 16 to 97. And has seen an array of medical conditions (i.e. amputations, stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and brain disease, to name just a few). The assessment will consist of an eyesight test. A cognitive screening (to assess the client's brain function). A physical test to assess their range of movement and strength. And then the on-road drive. Michael has conducted assessments on behalf of Transport for London and the DVLA since 2019. His caring nature and empathy will help the driver relax as much as possible throughout the assessment, as we know it can be nerve-wracking. At the end of the assessment, feedback will be given to the client and anyone they wish to attend. In addition, a complete report will be sent by either post or e-mail to the person or organisation who paid for the assessment. The assessment must be conducted in a vehicle fitted with dual controls to maintain safety if required. Which is provided free of charge (manual, automatic, or with adaptations). However, if the client has been using a driving instructor vehicle with dual controls, that vehicle can be used.
