Disability driving assessments in London
A holistic, compassionate assessment of the help and adaptations you'll need to drive — built around your ability, never your diagnosis. Honest advice and all the options, from a specialist assessor.
Whether you're learning to drive or returning to the wheel, our disability driving assessment looks holistically and compassionately at the help or adaptations you'll need. You'll get honest, trustworthy feedback based on the facts and our expertise — and all the available options, with no prejudice, bias or agenda.
Every one of our assessors holds the Oxford Brookes Diploma in Outdoor and Mobility, so you can be confident you're in expert hands. Whether you're looking for reassurance, clarity or a structured plan for safer driving, we provide a professional, supportive environment that helps you make informed decisions with confidence.
Who we can help
New learners with theory-test concerns — including SEN/SEND, Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and D/deaf clients who rely on BSL or SSE
Learner drivers worried about passing the DVSA practical test
Learners needing adaptations or alternative methods of car control due to a physical disability
Qualified drivers (full licence holders) who need adaptations or alternative methods of car control due to a physical disability
What the assessment involves
We come to you and assess in your local area. The assessment has four parts:
An eyesight check — reading a number plate from 20 metres
A physical check — range of movement, strength and coordination
A short cognitive check — around 15 minutes, plus DVSA theory questions and hazard perception
The drive — in our dual-controlled cars
